This request for expressions of interest follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. 636 of August 16, 2004.

Republic of Serbia / Republic Geodetic Authority (RGZ) has received a credit from the International Development Association for the realization of the Real Estate Cadastre and Registration Project (RECRP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for:

• IT Officer of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU).

The services of IT Officer include preparation of annual plans on ICT developments, participation in preparation of ICT tender documentation, support in the development of data-models and business processes and successful implementation of all components of the project including reporting, monitoring, etc. The IT Officer shall be engaged on a contract basis, full-time, for a period until 30th of October 2010 including for a trial period of three months, with its possible extension based on a satisfactory performance if the RECRP will be extended. Appointment to the position is expected to commence in June 2010.

For IT Officer following is required: university degree in informatics, engineering, business management or geodesy; experience with general ICT and geo-ICT developments and implementation in large (geo-) data provider organizations; knowledge of the cadastral surveying and real property registration processes, familiarity with Land Administration activities; familiarity in the use of Windows, MS software (Word, Excel, Power Point), MS-Access and MS-Project; fluency in both Serbian and English (written and spoken); ability to drive and possession of a valid driver’s license.

The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Republic Geodetic Authority now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above mentioned services. Interested consultants must provide Cover Letter and CV representing description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions and availability of appropriate skills.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the IC procedure set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 1997 (revised September 1997, January 1999 and May 2002).
