Republic Geodetic Authority received charter by which it was elected as an Associate Member of Engineering Academy of Serbia
Engineering Academy of Serbia has awarded Republic Geodetic Authority with charter by which RGA was elected as an Associate Member of Engineering Academy of Serbia because of its significant contribution to the development of science, geodetic profession, and the state prosperity.
At the formal session of the Academic Council
of the Engineering Academy of Serbia, as a new associate members of
the Engineering Academy of Serbia were elected Ph.D. Ivan Aleksic
and General Director of the RGA Nenad Tesla.
Engineering Academy of Serbia was established
with the purposes of achieving goals and tasks of the technical and
technological activities, development and improvement of the
engineering profession, to implement technical and technological
knowledge, to improve standards and content in science, education,
economy, environment and other economic spheres of life and work.
The basic idea for the formation of the Academy
is based on filling gaps, in the scientific and professional area,
between the practically oriented personnel, who operate in the real
process (material production and engineering service activities),
and fundamental scientific research-oriented participants in the
working processes of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU).
This charter represents another great
recognition to the Republic Geodetic Authority in the year declared
as a year of the geodetic activities by the Serbian Government.
