Participation of the Republic Geodetic Authority in the seminar:”Market Value-Based Taxation of Real Property”
In the period 26-30.03.2012, the seminar: “Market Value-Based Taxation of Real Property” organized by the Centre for Development of Finance in Ljubljana and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, Cambridge, USA, with international participation was held.

Lincoln Institute of Land Policy has a leading
position in the field of improving land policy issues, use,
regulation and taxation of real estate. Bringing together
scientists, land policy makers, public authorities, practitioners
and other institutions that have an interest in land policy, the
institute provides a high level of education in this field.
Taxation of real estate based on market value
of real estate is being established in the EU countries and in
countries from the region. Republic Geodetic Authority had a
prominent presentation which has introduced its competences in the
field of real estate register and the registration of property
rights as well as in the field of mass appraisal of real estate.
Professional training of staff, monitoring of
development trends of land administration and exchange of
international experience is the strategy of the Republic Geodetic
Authority, as the leading state institutions in this field. The
participation in the seminar was organized within the subproject
Development of Mass Appraisal Concept, founded by SIDA - Swedish
International Development Cooperation Agency.
