Real Еstate Cadastre on the Internet - KnWeb

Internet service – Web application “KnWeb” enables real estate cadastre database searching.

Database represent central real estate cadastre database in Republic of Serbia. It is made by collecting data that are maintained in the local cadastral offices of the Republic Geodetic Authority.

The database can be searched by parcel number and address (street and house number) inside the municipality and cadastral municipality.

"KnWeb" application can provide user only with basic information on real estates and real estate owners (name and surname i.e. name of legal entity and address of owner). It is not possible to search the data using ID numbers of owners nor this information is available when searching data (in accordance with Law on protection of personal data).

The basic goal is to enable citizens and to the legal entities view of data from property register.

It will be enabled to identify real estates by using tools for spatial searching and view of real estate data on digital cadastral plan and orthophoto.

Real estate cadastre is a public register which represents basic evidence of real estates and rights. Real estate cadastre contains information on land (name of the cadastral municipality, number, shape, area, usage, cadastral class and cadastral revenue of the cadastral parcel), buildings, flats and business premises, as special parts of buildings (location, shape, area, usage, floor and number of rooms) and other objects, and information on rights and owners, encumbrances and limitations.

Real estate cadastre register contains data on property rights and other rights on real estates, certain obligation rights concerning the real estates, encumbrances and limitations in real estates management.

Unique real estate cadastre implies that all relevant data on real estates, ownership, buildings and parts of objects are contained in the unique register.

Real estate cadastre enables development of the real estate market, easier and secure spatial planning, analysis of the investment programs and development programs, policy creation and strategic documents in all areas of general and special public and social interest, land management inside state, and protection of ownership rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

Registered property has higher market value. Owner of the registered real estate can give his property as collateral, and thus gain mortgage loan which is particularly important for citizens and businessmen. After the registering of property in the real estate cadastre, it is enabled to the citizens to prove their rights on easy and reliable way, by providing property sheet which as a prove is generated from real estate cadastre database.
